mendr provides structured nervous system regulation for people going through any form of grief — breakups, divorce, bereavement, estrangement, retirement, or loss of identity. Built on neuroscience, not motivational content.
Grief isn't emotional weakness. It's a neurological event. Your nervous system doesn't know the loss is over — it's still scanning, still searching, still trying to find safety. mendr addresses that directly.
This isn't therapy. It's what you do between sessions, or when therapy isn't an option.
74% of bereaved people with high vulnerability are not accessing any formal support. The NHS waiting list is 18 months. Therapy costs £80–150 an hour in the UK, $150 in the US.
The advice is always the same — "give it time" or "stay strong." That doesn't explain why you can't sleep. It doesn't explain why the urge to reach out feels compulsive. It doesn't explain why your body hurts.
mendr exists because emotional dysregulation requires structure, not sentiment.
A 6-stage nervous system regulation session — breathing, bilateral stimulation, grounding, thought externalisation. Free forever. One tap when it hits.
Your journal entries analysed to surface thought patterns. See what's keeping you stuck, quantified over time.
Urge intensity, mood, spirals broken — tracked so you can see progress even when you can't feel it. Every session earns recovery points toward a personal milestone.
Structured nervous system regulation during grief. Support that addresses what's actually happening in your body — not just your emotions.
Your data is encrypted and never sold. Personal identifiers remain private.
Anonymised, aggregate data may be used to improve recovery science. Your individual identity is never shared.
I spent over a year studying grief after going through a loss that I didn't have the tools to handle. What I found was a fundamental flaw in how we treat it.
People move through grief without actually recovering. The advice is always "give it time" — but nobody explains the neurobiology of why you can't sleep, why you keep checking your phone, why your body physically hurts. Nobody gives you a map.
Grief isn't a medical condition. It's your nervous system without a map.
When you're in it, your brain doesn't need a hug or a scented candle. It needs infrastructure. It needs to understand what's actually happening — and something that works at 2am when nothing else does.
That's why I built mendr.
